I'm truly proud of everyone who sent messages in loving memory of Allegro.
It is a victory to people, including myself, who want to prove to a cynical world
that cats can make excellent pets. Cats are man's other best friend.

A deeply touching memorial.. It strikes home as our furry little MIMI takes control of our home and hearts within two weeks of her arrival.
We will continue to visit Allegro's memorial. Thank you.

NewHydePark , NY USA - Friday, August 30, 2002 at 13:43:49 (EDT)What a beautiful memorial page! It's clear Allegro was a very special cat, cherished and loved. Thank you for sharing his memories.
Los Angeles, USA - Tuesday, August 20, 2002 at 19:59:07 (EDT)To me, a relationship with a beloved animal (unlike relationships with people) is so clean -- no mess, no complications, no chaos. The love is dazzlingly white. It's a perfect light, and it's this light we miss when they're gone. Life is a little darker then. But light has a way of traveling great distances, and of burning very brightly in our hearts.
Allegro, we love you and miss you.

New York, NY USA - Saturday, August 03, 2002 at 13:22:21 (EDT)What a wonderful memorial. How well I remember you telling me Allegro's story, Jeanne. No wonder Joe was his hero. He was one lucky kitten to have met such a compassionate visiting American. I know he will be sorely missed, but never forgotten. Best wishes from me and from John, not to mention Marty (who is also a "bear" of a cat), Emmett and Mozart. Eve <firstname.lastname@example.org>

New York, NY USA - Monday, July 29, 2002 at 17:04:57 (EDT)Jeanne & Joe, I am sorry that I did not have the pleasure of meeting Allegro. It is apparent from your photos that the Love that you gave Allegro was well reciprocated.

E. Rockaway, NY USA - Monday, July 29, 2002 at 12:54:13 (EDT)your tribute to your dear Allegro is so touching. Clearly he was a very special cat. I'm sure you and tanya and Mr. Bear will all miss him very much.
I have two cats of my own, Bagel and Dorian (he's gray). I believe that cats fill a place in our our lives that humans or other animals just can't do the same justice. I'm glad you have other cats in the house to help ease your grief.

Milwaukee, WI USA - Thursday, July 25, 2002 at 15:42:31 (EDT)Hello dear ones,
I am so happy that I was able to meet Alegro when he first came from Italy and happier still that he heard me sing the NORMA Maestro and I were working on. I like to believe that he was my very best audience and gave me a special blessing.
He will never be far from you e sono sicuro che il Signore e Allegro vi quardero sempre.
Con Amore e un forte abbraccio.

Cranston,, RI USA - Thursday, July 25, 2002 at 12:54:51 (EDT)Allegro was one good looking cat - and he was a Sicilian which made his grandpa, George LoPinto, particularly proud of him. They had a lot of laughs together. Love costs us something and ultimately costs us everything but it's worth it, both for the Lover and the Loved. The alternative is unacceptable and we would be too poverty stricken were we to take that route. I would be happy to find that God had made a place for dogs and cats in Heaven. If He has, then I'm sure Daddy is playing with Allegro right now and laughing out loud!
With loving thoughts,
Rosalie LoPinto <email@example.com>
Providence, RI USA - Thursday, July 25, 2002 at 10:00:20 (EDT)Dearest Jeanne & Joe,
Allegro was a beautiful kitten and its easy to see how he crept into your hearts. It looks like you made a wonderful life for him in your home furnishing everything he needed and then some. Having lost a dear pet I know the grief that comes when they are gone. As whenever we lose something precious we can only count our blessings to have been lucky enough to have something so precious in our lives along with the memories that we will always have. You are two special people and it is my honor to leave a few words here for you. I hope you two are doing well. Love, Renee

Montréal, Québec - Wednesday, July 24, 2002 at 22:24:31 (EDT)What a beautiful little baby he was! My "Beinya" was also a tiger kitty... We all learn so much about Spirit from the pure joy that our "furry children" teach us to claim. They give us such unconditional love and teach us what it's like to be without cares or worries! And they show us how EASY it is to attain 'total' happiness with just a scratch behind the ears! We are so blessed to have them for a time in our lives. Again I say, I am so sorry for your loss. Thanks for sharing the pics with us. God Bless! -
Providence, RI USA - Wednesday, July 24, 2002 at 21:29:05 (EDT)He lived a very happy life and has Joe to thank for taking him in and making it happen. I take credit for making Joe into a cat person. So I guess I am a God Aunt. He was and is happy. Take comfort in that. I Strummers
